The Asset Value of Your MLM Business

Today, I want to talk to you about the asset value of your MLM Business.

Many people are really confused about our industry. They think the purpose of the network marketing industry is to create a second income. It’s not.

The purpose of our industry is to create an asset that gives you residual cash flow each month. Ultimately, you create something that continues to pay you for many years to come.

In other words, you are not trading hours for dollars like you do at your job. Instead, you are building up a business asset that provides ongoing cash flow.

It takes time to build a business into an asset that provides consistent residual cash flow: normally several years! It’s worth it though.

What most people don’t realize is how valuable an asset is that generates $500, $1,000 or even $3,000 per month in residual income.

Suppose you build up a $500 per month residual income with your network marketing business. And assume it takes you two years to do that. That’s the equivalent asset value of having $100,000 in an investment earning 6% annual interest.

Not bad. Most banks don’t pay 6% interest and most people will never save that much money in their lifetime.

To clarify, this does not mean your network marketing business is WORTH $100,000. It just means it has an ASSET VALUE of $100,000, based upon the example I provided above.

Here are a few other examples, just to show you the power of residual income.

• To earn $1,000 per month in residual income, you would need $500,000 in an investment account earning 2.4 percent annual interest

• To earn $2,000 per month in residual income, you would need $800,000 in an investment account earning 3% annual interest

• To earn $5,000 per month in residual income, you would need $1.5 million in an investment account earning 4% annual interest

Once again, the average person WILL NOT save this much money in their lifetime. The average person is living paycheck to paycheck.

As I see it, even if it takes you two years of part-time work to build up a $500 monthly residual income from your network marketing business, you are heading in the right direction. Combine that with your tax advantages and it is a winning 1-2 combination. I think so anyway.

10 Secret MLM Tips

In today’s email, I’d like to share 10 secret MLM tips to help you grow your network marketing business. Keep in mind these tips are listed in no particular order.

# 1: Skills are what separates the amateurs from the pros. 

 When you first get started in our industry you won’t have the required skills you need to succeed. These skills are developed over a period of months and years through training and real world experience.

You will develop your skills by being in the trenches doing the business. You will learn more in an hour of “doing” something than you will in 20-hours studying about it.

The basic skills to master are lead generation, inviting, retailing, closing, promoting events, launching new reps, and following-up. Master those basic skills and you should do very well in the business.

# 2: You need an Elevator Speech.

One of the best things you can do is develop an Elevator Speech for your network marketing business. This is a short 15 to 30 second “pitch” that describes the benefits about what you do. It’s a great way to share your products or business opportunity with others, using a quick and easy approach.

# 3: Tell people WHY they should join your team or become a customer.

 Rather than just asking people to partner up with you and become a customer or distributor, let them know WHY they should work with you. Tell them the benefits they get by being part of your team. Show them what’s in it for them.

Doesn’t that sound much better than just asking people to join? Make a list of what you offer people when they join and be sure to communicate this effectively with your prospects.

# 4: Sell the benefits of your product.

Facts tell. Benefits sell. Rather than focus on the ingredients or business or product specifics, explain to your prospect the BENEFITS they get from joining the company or using the products. Remember, no one buys a drill because they want a drill. People buy a drill because they want a hole.

# 5: Focus on what your prospect likes.  

Figure out your prospect’s hot button and focus on that during the presentation. Ask them a few questions before you do a presentation to figure this out.

Some people refer to this as their WHY. It’s the one thing that makes the person tick. Once you know this information, tailor your presentation to show them how the products or business opportunity will help them get what they want.

# 6: Look for leaders.  

One good leader is worth more than 1,000 followers. One good leader can help you create a six figure residual income in most companies. Your job is to always keep your eyes and ears open for leaders. These people are hard to find and hard to get in the business, but if they make the decisions to join and commit, they will build it big. Keep in mind, most people are not leaders.

# 7: People don’t join what they don’t understand.

Keep the business presentation simple. Keep it to 20-minutes or less. Record your own presentation and watch it. Show it to a young child and see if they get it.

The beauty of this business is the simplicity. Any fool can complicate it, and most people do, but it takes a genius to keep it simple.

# 8: Use the products.

This should be common sense, but you would be surprised how many folks join a company and don’t even use the products. You wouldn’t own a Chevy dealership and drive a Ford!

Use your company’s products: all of them. This will help educate you about the products, build up your belief in the products, and help you develop your own product story that you can share with others.

If the products don’t make sense, the business won’t make sense either.

# 9: Time plus skills is the formula for success in MLM.

Anything worthwhile takes time. Think about anything worthwhile you wanted to accomplish in life and you will quickly realize that you had to pay a price. You’ll also discover that it took you time, normally much longer than you expected.

MLM is no different. You have to develop the right skills, the right mindset, and you have to put in the time. There are no shortcuts. Success never goes on sale. You’ve got to pay the full price.

# 10: If you want to be successful in MLM study someone who is already successful.

Successful people find mentors who have accomplished what they are trying to do and follow their lead. Find someone in your upline who has achieved the level of success you desire and get in their hip pocket. Ask them questions, seek their counsel and learn from them. Be coachable and do what they teach you!

Bonus Tip: Work the Numbers  

This business is a numbers game UNTIL you get people in the business, then it becomes a people business. Put in the numbers. Realize you will probably have to approach several thousand people to sponsor a few hundred people to find your few key leaders who are responsible for 90% of your team’s growth.

And here the moment is extremely delicate … from every negative experience we must collect only the wisdom that is contained …

Every rejection you receive shows you only what is NOT working.

There was something wrong with everything you did.

-It could be your attitude.

– It could be your communication.

-It could be that you haven’t chosen the right person.

– It could be that you didn’t make the right offer.

-It could be that you didn’t choose the right time etc …

But what I would like to get into your head now is that rejection is actually a fantastic indicator of whether your sales / recruit system is set up correctly.

A far better indicator than “I think about it”, “then I’ll do it” “as soon as I have time, I’ll contact you” and all the other vague and abstract answers that don’t give you precise feedback.

And giving up because you have been rejected is truly absurd.

When you eat poor food, then stop eating any other food?
When you watch a boring movie, then stop watching all the movies?
When you make a mistake at work then you stop working forever?
When you lose to trump then you never play again?
Obviously we can stand here and give all the examples in the world.

Mark Twain’s lesson is …

Don’t let a defeat stop you from trying again.

Surely the game is worth the candle, but as in every sector there are the right working methods and the wrong working methods.

If you’ve already put your upline’s advice into practice and are unable to make sales and signups… then it’s clear that something is wrong with this method.

You received a NO and now is not the time to cry and complain, but to analyze the answer.

Probably the strategies you apply will not work or are not the right ones for YOU.

– And if calling acquaintances you haven’t heard from for 10 years, just to invite them to the mega event that will change their life, isn’t that a great idea?

-And if talking about luxury cars, villas with swimming pools and repeating how cool you feel because you are a distributor of company X … isn’t that a good idea?

-What if the fitting dress you had made is not enough to show people that you are there why you REALLY want to help them?

I think the key to success lies precisely in this life lesson that Mark Twain shared with us.

Don’t let small falls shape your future.

Changing and improving is always possible.

It is clear that if you do not have results from your network now, it means that there is something you are not doing well or you are failing to do something important.

This is not to say that MLM doesn’t work.

Give yourself one more chance.

It’s worth it.

Do not think that starting a Srl is so simple or that working as an employee is quiet and carefree.

Whether you like it or not, the world is changing.

Companies are increasingly results-oriented and part of the corporate risk will also fall on the shoulders of employees …

Psychologically or through an incentive bonus.

So, even if now you are convinced that network marketing is only for “stage vampires” and you are losing hope …
